Micah 3:9 Hear this, you leaders of Jacob,
you rulers of Israel,
who despise justice
and distort all that is right;
Reflection: Justice and righteousness is at the heart of our redemption story. Where we have been blind to our own injustices and unrighteousness, God reveals it to us so that we may repent. Just as the Israelites were given a chance to hear and repent, so too God speaks to us and convicts us of our wrongs. What is something that God is convicting you of recently?
Micah 3:10 who build Zion with bloodshed,
and Jerusalem with wickedness.
Reflection: In contrast to how Jerusalem was being built, God has his own building plans in mind.
Ephesians 2:19-22 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
How does God intend to build his church to dwell in our midst?
